  <p>Best idea for: Accomplishing the Quadruple Aim of Enhancing the Patient Experience, Improving Population Health, Reducing Costs, and Improving the Work Life of Health Care Providers, Including Clinicians and Staff.</p>
</sec>

      <title>Background and Introduction</title>
      <p>The Quadruple Impact Challenge is an open call for on the ground solutions or ideas that are creating impact, big and small, in the changing environment of medicine. We are specifically looking for innovative ways to deliver care, new ways to connect patients with their own data and the care team, and interesting use of medical devices and wearables to gather data. The best solutions will be those that accomplish the Quadruple Aim of enhancing the patient experience, improving population health, reducing costs, and improving the work life of health care providers, including clinicians and staff. Submissions are open to any interested party, including clinicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, patients, caregivers, and designers. Anyone with ideas on how to leverage today’s technology to achieve the Quadruple Aim is welcome to apply.</p>

      <title>The Challenge</title>
      <p>The online challenge will run for five months beginning in June, during which time the panel of judges and the community at large can offer feedback and suggestions to each team. Teams can then refine their submission up until the submission deadline. After that, six finalists will be determined based on a combination of online voting and the votes of the panel of judges. The finalists of the online challenge will be invited to pitch their ideas in front of a live audience at the MedTech Impact Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, NV on December 13-14, 2017. A single grand-prize winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize. The earlier you submit, the more feedback you’ll receive on your idea from leading experts in the field. You can continue to refine your idea until the submission deadline in September. We look forward to hearing your ideas on how technology can be leveraged to enhance patient care!</p>
